Injuries such as lower back pain when moving are quite common. This is usually down to the inevitability of lifting stuff off the ground. You can get away with using your back for lighter loads and for a short period of time. But if you do it repeatedly or try to lift very heavy loads, you are bound to sustain back injuries. Make a point of lifting the right way from the very beginning.

Make sure everything is packed properly to prevent the items from falling out of the boxes are you carry them. Take precaution when maneuvering corners and staircase. This way, you will reduce the chances of tripping accidents and injuries. You also won’t have to worry about bumping into stuff when carrying boxes out of a room.

You may think you’re strong, and you may actually be, but it’s foolhardy to try and be a hero by carrying a large carton of tools on your own. Ask for help carrying heavy boxes even when you feel that you can carry them by yourself. Doing this will lighten the load and reduce chances of injury. Looking strong won’t do much for you in the long run and could lead to lower back pain when moving.

A willing mind and a strong back won’t be enough to execute a successful move on your own. This is why you might want to consider hiring a professional mover who has all the tools required to execute a smooth move in a timely and efficient manner devoid of injuries. If you insist on doing it on your own, at least consider investing in tools such as a two-wheeler and carrying straps. These tools help make moving a much safer undertaking.

Packing your things properly can help prevent injuries when moving house. The last thing you want is things shifting in the carton box as you walk. This shifting can put excessive strain on your back that can lead to injury. Make sure all cartons boxes are packed to the brim such that there’s no room for the items to move around.
